About Us

Tiger Lily Studio offers you the opportunity to explore your creativity for a a few hours, a day, or even longer. Situated in a peaceful rural location in the village of Walliswood, it is run by local artist Katharine Gordon. 

Katharine Gordon Kath studio potter

Quirky, imaginative and vibrant Katharine Gordon’s highly decorated earthenware ceramics and paintings reflect her theatrical background, love of colour and thoughtful nature. The therapeutic power of art - clay or paints in this case are forefront to her teaching.
Katharine’s diverse work encompasses processional outdoor parades, school’s projects and a series of commissioned banners.  Her work has been shown in Surrey, Devon and Buckinghamshire and as afield as Seattle. Currently she teaches exhibits and works from her tranquil, rural studio.
Under the continued tutelage of the artist Hoshi Jila, she is acutely aware of the power of good teaching.

Katharine has exhibited at local galleries such as the Red Biddy Gallery, Shalford and at Cranleigh Art Centre. She belongs to  Surrey Open Artist Studio, Cranfold Artists Collective and Grafham Artists. And is taught by Hoshi Jila.

Kath studioAs an acomplished local artist Katharine's work is influenced by words and music, seeking lively forms. She enjoys the challenge of working to commission.

She offers parties, special events and pottery classes for both adults and children.

The Studio Studio & student
This can be found about 9 miles south of Dorking and Guildford, 8 miles north of Horsham and 5 miles from Cranleigh. The location provides a tranquil and comfortable environment that is free from distractions - perfect for enhancing creativity and personal expression.
